Alone. All alone. You promised I would never be, but things change. I look out at the stars, they remind me of snow flakes. Cold. I’m cold. Cold without and cold within. How could it be that I stood in this very spot a few short days ago with your warmth searing my palm and the heat of your eyes on my soul? Kes, the daughter of my heart. Gone. Replaced by an automaton as cold as space. You will not meet my gaze. I must learn to live my days without you. I guess that I’m alone after all.
